Signo indudable de que hemos entrado al estado de Rajasthan son los numerosos camellos con que nos topamos en el camino. Se suelen utilizar para arastrar carros llenos de todo tipo de carga. Rajasthan es un estado al noroeste de la India, que limita con Pakistan y esta por debajo de Delhi, con un paisaje en el que se mezclan el desierto, otras zonas mas verdes y algunas partes montañosas. La gente en Rajasthan se viste con colores vivos, abundantes joyas, tienen el pelo mas bien castaño y muchos tienen ojos claros /

Rajasthan liegt im Nordwesten, suedlich von Delhi, grenzt an Pakistan. Ein Teil des Staates ist Wueste, andere sind gruener und bergiger. Typisch fuer Rajasthan sind die Kleider in grellen Farben, die Frauen tragen viel Schmuck, viele haben braunes Haar und helle Augen /
A sign that we entered the state of Rajasthan are the many camels crossing our way. Rajasthan is in the Northwest, south of Delhi, with border to Pakistan, parts of it are desert, others greener. Typical for Rajasthan are the bright colours of clothes, the women wearing a lot of jewellery, many have brown hair and bright eyes

En el Museo del turbante en Jaipur se puede apreciar como esta prenda forma parte de la indumentaria indispensable del hombre rajasthani. El tipo de tela y color varia segun la profesion y de que lugar de Rajasthan viene la persona, y segun su clase social, y tambien depende de la epoca del año (en la foto hay ejemplos mes a mes). Hoy en dia todavia se ven bastante, aunque poco entre los hombres mas jovenes /

Auch variiert der Stoff, Motiv und Farbe je nach Beruf, Herkunft und Stand. Der Turban gehoert zur Grundausruestung der Maenner, wenn wir auch nur wenige junge Maenner mit Turban gesehen haben /
In the small and cute turban museum we could see all the different styles and meanings of the turban, an important accessory to the mens clothes in Rajasthan, although already not very common for young men. The colour, form and type of cloth varies according to where in Rajasthan the man comes from, his profession and his status. Here in the photo are shown the different colours worn according to each month of the year

Nosotros dentro de uno de los patios del palacio. Atras se ve un pabellon de marmol decorado por dentro de arriba a abajo de espejos y vidrios de colores / Hier stehen wir in einem der Innenhoefe. Im Hintergrund sieht man einen Marmorpavillion der von innen von oben bis unten mit Spiegeln und Glassteinen dekoriert ist / Here we stand in one of the patios. In the back is to be seen a marble pavillion, that was totally decorated inside with mirrors and glass stones
Una noche en el cine Raj Mandir. Es el "creme de la creme" de los cines de la India, asi que aprovechamos para ver una peli de Bollywood que se llama Naqaab. La decoracion del hall de entrada del cine le hace parecer una gran torta de boda, lleno de lamparas, espejos, decoracion en colores pasteles, alfombra y una gran barra al estilo sesentero. En la peli (otra que nos fascino de principio a fin) el protagonista tenia aire español. En un momento nos parecio igualito a German, en otro tambien a Pau. Esta en el cartel a la izquierda, lastima que no pudimos hacer una foto mejor del actor para que lo pudierais comprobar /
Eine Nacht im Raj Mandir Kino. Dieses Kino ist die creme de la creme der indischen Kinos, weswegen wir uns dort einen Bollywood Film anschauten: Naqaab. Die Eingangshalle sieht entsprechend seines Status aus wie eine Cremetorte, in Pastelformen, Lampen, Spiegel, Teppich und eine grosse Bar im 60er Stil. Wieder waren wir 3 Stunden voellig vom Film gefesselt. Der Film begann mit einer Tanzszene im dirty dancing Stil. Ansonsten hatte er leider nicht so viele Tanzszenen und spielte in Dubai anstatt in Indien /
We spent a night in the famous cinema Raj Mandir in Jaipur watching a Bollywood film Naqaab. The entrance hall is full 60ies style, in pastel colours, mirrors, carpets, lights everywhere. Again we really enjoyed the film during all the 3 hours. The film started with a dancing scene a la Dirty Dancing, although the rest unfortunately had few dancing scenes and played in Dubai instead of India
